 In the year of 2007, Lightwave Technology Group(LTG) has had another successful year. Since its formation in Dec 1999, LTG has grown steadily over the years to become a large and well-equipped research group. LTG has more than 50 members and research students, who carry out an extensive range of research. 

For the past years, our group has engaged in numerous purposeful R&D activities in tandem with the development of optical technologies in the region. Also, LTG has engaged both local and overseas industrial partners on training specialist manpower, consultation and advisory services as well as joint research collaboration to tackle emerging technologies issues.

The roadmap of LTG in the year of 2008 is charted on the vision, trends and developments of the technology landscape in Singapore. LTG envisages a tighter research collaboration with industry and international insitutions which is necessary for adapting to technological changes and meeting the challenging demands gloablly. LTG will forge ahead through new technology frontiers and is poised to cultivate world-class research and human capital for the vibrand knowledge-based economy.
